KIMOTO CUP 2017

The 13th KIMOTO Cup was held on June 11th (Day)June 18 (Day)It was held. Here is a report on the event.

What is the KIMOTO Cup?

Every year, KIMOTO holds the youth rubber baseball tournament 'KIMOTO Cup' in Inabe City, Mie Prefecture, where its production base is located.

It has become a highly anticipated and well-loved event in the local community.

This year's participating teams

Thirteen teams from Inabe City and Toin Town participated.

Total number of registered players to date

3,119 people.

Last year's winning team

Last year's (12th) champion was the 'Kasama Club' from Inabe City.

The opening ceremony was held at KIMOTO Stadium with all 13 participating teams.

June 11th (Sun) Tournament Day 1

Intense matches were held in a tournament format at three locations: KIMOTO Stadium, Hokusei Nakayama Ground, and Fujiwara First Stadium.

'Kasama Club' VS 'Sanwa Majors'

In the first round, the Kasama Club, aiming for their third consecutive tournament victory, They will face off against Sanwa Majors, last year's runner-up.

It was a thrilling game reminiscent of last year's final, and the Sanwa Majors won 12-9.

Every year, the KIMOTO Cup is held during the rainy season.

We worry about rain, but the first day was blessed with good weather and ended in great success.

June 18th (Sun) Tournament Day 2

On the second day of the tournament, three matches, including the semifinals and finals, were held at KIMOTO Stadium.

"Sanwa Majors" vs. "Kanda Sports Boys Club"

The semifinals to decide the teams that will advance to the final.

Both games ended in a cold game, It was a match where the players' determination to advance to the final clashed.

"Sanwa Majors" vs. "Fujiwara Sports Boys Club"

In the bottom of the first inning, the Sanwa Majors scored the first run, but in the top of the second inning, the Fujiwara Sports Boys Club quickly tied the game.

After that, Fujiwara Sports Boys Club's pitcher Kondo-kun's spirited pitching held down Sanwa's strong batting lineup. As a result, Fujiwara, whose batting lineup connected, scored additional runs,Fujiwara Youth Sports Club wins with a score of 5-1!

Both teams were cheering loudly from the benches. The determination to really win! This spirit was conveyed to us KIMOTO staff as well.

After the tournament...

The joy of the winning team and the tears of the losing team.

We were deeply moved by the players' performances and once again realized the importance of the players' attitudes and team strength. It was two days that made me feel this way.

Additionally, we staff also gained energy!
