To everyone who supports KIMOTO
We would like to express our deepest sympathies to those affected by the Reiwa 8 Kumamoto Earthquake and sincerely pray for everyone's safety and a swift recovery.
To advance the growth strategy outlined in our Sixth Medium-Term Management Plan, we have transitioned to a new organizational structure starting this fiscal year. The three divisions—Global Tech, Global Sales, and DCX—are collaborating to accelerate cross-group information sharing and digital transformation, while promoting more efficient and agile business operations.
The Consolidated performance for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027 (April 2026 to March 2027) is as follows.
| Unit: million yen | ||||
| Consolidated | Earnings | Operating income | Ordinary Income | Net income |
| First Quarter of Fiscal Year Ending March 2027 | 2,854 | 335 | 352 | 235 |
| First Quarter of the Fiscal Year Ending March 2026 | 2,735 | 315 | 317 | 227 |
The Consolidated performance for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027 resulted in increased revenue and profit compared to the same period last year.
We have calculated and announced our full-year Consolidated performance forecast and dividend forecast based on currently available information. We will continue to work towards achieving our plan while closely monitoring the business environment, including raw material prices and fuel/energy costs.
In the High-Performance Materials business, while rising raw material and fuel/energy costs due to the Middle East situation posed headwinds, products for communication equipment and electronic component manufacturing processes contributed to sales and profit. The industrial equipment segment also performed steadily. Although the transportation equipment segment was affected by sluggish automobile production in Europe, the overall business remained resilient. We will continue to monitor the business environment and, under the new structure, promote sales expansion in our focus areas through worldwide sales activities.
In the Digital Twin business, SPLAT TWIN has steadily built a track record by securing large-scale and new projects in the construction field. We also co-hosted the Geospatial Digital Twin Conference at nine locations nationwide with five other companies. We will continue to participate in exhibitions to enhance awareness and acquire new projects. Going forward, we will strengthen proposals combining manufacturing DX solutions and consulting, and work to expand the application areas of digital twin services that contribute to solving social issues.
In the Technology division, for high-performance materials technology, we are working on optimizing the production system by updating production infrastructure and quality control equipment, as well as consolidating production processes. In development, we are advancing the efficiency of the development process through the introduction of materials informatics, while striving to enhance knowledge and grasp the latest technological trends through study sessions for designers, thereby improving the environment to expand development output. For digital twin technology, we are advancing application development for work efficiency and acquiring new measurement technologies, aiming to strengthen our structure to handle an increase in new project orders.
As a company-wide initiative, to further advance the utilization of AI introduced last year, we have been conducting a total of four AI study sessions for all employees since June. The aim is to learn the basics of AI application methods tailored to the work of each department and acquire skills that can be used in practical work. By incorporating AI into daily operations, we aim to improve the work efficiency and productivity of each individual and lead to further operational improvements for the entire organization.
At KIMOTO Farm, we have completed the rice planting for this year's 'Minori Hyakunen Mai' (Harvest Centennial Rice). Following the Shiozaki field, which has obtained organic JAS certification, we are also working this year to acquire certification for a new field. While valuing coexistence with the local community and nature, we will cultivate the rice with care, looking forward to the day we can deliver safe, secure, and delicious rice.
Moving forward, we will continue to aim to be a company that can provide new value to our customers and society by uniting as a group and operating our businesses by leveraging each other's strengths. We sincerely ask for your continued understanding and support, KIMOTO fans.
