Comments from the Captain of the Champion Team, Inabe Bickies
These past two days were the best, as our team truly came together as one. Since we hadn't won a championship title yet this year, we were determined to claim it. Starting two weeks before the KIMOTO Cup, we put extra effort into our practices and worked hard on our own as well. That hard work paid off, and we were able to win the championship through our own efforts, which makes me really happy! Last year, we lost to the Kanda Blue Rays in the finals, so I'm also glad we were able to get our revenge this year.
After the tournament...
It was an inspiring two days, with every team giving their all and enjoying themselves right up to the end.
Great job, everyone! Whether you experienced the joy of victory or the frustration of defeat, let those feelings motivate you in your next practices and strive for even greater growth.
After the games, we served shaved ice to everyone again this year. Each person chose their favorite syrup and enjoyed their treat. Seeing the children so absorbed in their shaved ice, smiling happily, was truly heartwarming.
Thanks to the cooperation of everyone involved with each team and their families, we were able to finish the tournament safely and without any injuries. Thank you all so much.
We look forward to seeing you again at the KIMOTO Cup next year!
