Regarding the film business, despite the ongoing global impact of COVID-19, including disruptions in logistics, rising material prices, and semiconductor shortages, we continued to market high-value-added products to a wide range of customers, including those in industries and applications we have previously served (such as touch panels and displays). This led to an increase in new projects, which was clearly reflected in our results.
Additionally, in the technology development department, we have achieved stable production and quality improvement by implementing fundamental reforms in manufacturing methods that we have been working on for several years. Furthermore, the multi-skilling of employees has led to a more flexible production system, resulting in improved production efficiency and increased profits.

In the Data Kitchen business, we have been achieving results through our data creation and editing technologies in response to the increasing demand for construction using 3D data, such as i-Construction and BIM/CIM, which are being promoted nationwide in the civil engineering and construction industries. We have also focused on 3D data expected to be utilized in various industries and sectors, committed to technology development for quality improvement and high value-added products, and promoted DX through environmentally friendly workflows.

KIMOTO Farm, which started as a social contribution project, opened its dahlia garden in October this year, attracting approximately 1,500 visitors during the period, resulting in more activity than usual. In the same month, we launched the sake brands 'KAI' and 'ICHI,' and in December, we held a sake tasting event at Mie Terrace in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. We will continue to deepen our symbiotic and prosperous relationship with the local community.

The effects of the reforms and improvements we are advancing at KIMOTO are clearly reflected in the results, and employee awareness is also increasing. We will continue to strive for further progress and the early realization of a three-day workweek, aiming to meet the expectations of our fans.

COVID-19 infections are resurging in Japan and other countries. Our company continues to prioritize the safety of our employees and their families and support their stable lives. We also earnestly wish for the health and safety of everyone worldwide, including our fans.

We kindly ask for your continued unwavering support for KIMOTO.
