We were able to finish the second quarterConsolidatedcumulative period with a "fair" performance. Unfortunately, sales did not reach the budget, but I believe that the fact that operating income and other profits exceeded the budget is the result of all employees working together to improve productivity, sell manufactured products, and save costs. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone involved.

In addition, I believe that the relatively good performance of each of the affiliated companies inConsolidatedwas also a factor in this result. Among them, North America performed particularly well.

Considering that a year ago we had to revise our performance forecast downward and ended the first half with disappointing results, we are honestly relieved this year.

We have received questions from some people about an upward revision of performance for the second half, but considering global economic instability, political distrust, and the fact that the sales budget for the first half was not achieved, we have decided to proceed to the third quarter without making any revisions.

Thanks to everyone's support, the internal and external events commemorating our 60th anniversary have almost concluded, and Kimoto Farm, which started last year, was able to harvest about 46 bales of rice this year. The local people of Inabe City, Mie Prefecture, have also appreciated our efforts, and it looks like we will be able to borrow more farmland next season than this year.

We will continue to make even greater efforts to meet everyone's expectations as much as possible, so we kindly ask for your continued support.
