Everyone, I look forward to your continued support in 2015.
For New Year's breakfast, we enjoyed delicious ozoni made with mochi rice cakes harvested from KIMOTO Farm.
I felt happy to have the first meal of the new year with the result of many people's efforts from planting to harvesting and making mochi. Thank you very much.
The rice cultivation that started in 2011 is now in its fifth year.
Fortunately, we were able to sell out the rice harvested last year. I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the supporters who purchased it, the landowners who provided the land, and everyone involved in the KIMOTO Farm Project.
I heard that my parents chose the character 'Wa' (peace) for my name because they wished for peace for their child and the world. It has been 40 years since we established companies in Switzerland and the United States. The founding president once said that Switzerland is a country of peace, and we ventured into the United States to deepen friendship, even if it meant stretching ourselves a bit.
This year, I hope for more progress in 'peace' than last year, and I will strive to build better relationships with people around the world through our business.
I sincerely wish everyone a better year in 2015.
