The financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2020 (April 2019 to March 2020) are as follows, and unfortunately, we have revised our full-year forecast downward.
We deeply regret causing concern to many of you. We sincerely apologize.

Notice of Revision of Earnings Forecast (Japanese)

The reasons for the poor performance in the first quarter and the downward revision of the full-year forecast are the global decline in order volume.
Additionally, the loss of large projects in the United States also became a negative factor.

In order to break away from our long-standing reliance on the electronic device display market, we have been developing films for markets other than the electronic device display market for several years. In addition to the film business, we have also launched the data kitchen business and consulting business, but we are still halfway there and have been affected by global market trends.
Regarding the revision of the full-year forecast, some may think it is too early, but we have made a downward revision considering the extremely unpredictable socio-economic environment.

However, we are fortunate to recognize the issues that need to be addressed and are doing our best to implement the necessary actions across the entire group.
