To all KIMOTO fans
The results for the third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2020 progressed as revised in October last year.
We sincerely apologize for the concern and inconvenience caused to our shareholders, customers, business partners, employees and their families, as well as the many KIMOTO fans who have supported us.
The global economy remained unstable in the third quarter, and the impact of a decline in large projects in the United States and the loss of new projects continues. The sales activities we have been undertaking since last year to improve the profitability of our film business have gradually begun to show results. In addition, aiming for greater productivity, stable quality, and further improvement in operating profit, we have started to take on new technological innovations as a technology-driven company.
We would like to once again apologize for the inconvenience and concern caused by the partial non-payment of overtime allowances, which we reported to you recently.
This non-payment was discovered during the review of our workflow as part of our ongoing workflow reform. After its discovery, we voluntarily conducted an internal investigation in December last year and found that insufficient understanding of applicable laws was the cause. Taking this matter seriously, we have decided to pay the unpaid overtime allowances retroactively for the past ten years.
New initiatives are gradually emerging, such as a new order system using the internet and improved operational efficiency through the introduction of RPA. We will continue to pursue dramatic workflow reforms as we aim to become a company that lasts for 100 years.
We apologize for causing repeated concern, but the entire KIMOTO Group will work together to restore our business performance.
We sincerely ask for your continued support.
