To all KIMOTO fans
We have announced our financial results for the second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2021Consolidated.
As a result, we recorded a quarterly net loss of just under 400 million yen. We deeply apologize for not meeting the expectations of our fans and for posting a first-half deficit for the second consecutive year.
As of October 30, due to the resurgence of COVID-19 infections, major European countries have entered lockdowns and imposed nighttime curfews. Considering the increase in infections in the United States and other populous countries (India, Indonesia, Brazil, Russia, etc.), there are concerns about our performance forecasts.
However, under these challenging circumstances, considering the development of new products, significant reforms in manufacturing technology, acquisition of new customers in sales, continued innovation in the management department, and stable profits from overseas subsidiaries (Switzerland and China), which the KIMOTO Group is working on as a whole, we expect a profit of 350 million yen in the second half and have announced a full-year forecast of a net loss of 50 million yen for the fiscal year ending March 2021.
Regarding KIMOTO Farm, we have obtained a patent for our business model in rice sales, and the distribution of sake samples is progressing smoothly. We aim to start selling Japanese sake in 2023 and achieve annual sales of 300 million yen in agriculture-related businesses, further contributing to the community.
We kindly ask for the continued unwavering support of all KIMOTO fans.
