President and Chairman Kazunobu Kimoto
2022, we look forward to your continued support this year.

Last year, by holding the shareholders' meeting in May, the management department achieved Workflow Reform 1.0, which boosted our confidence. The workflow reforms that began 12 years ago have reviewed existing tasks and increased jobs where creativity can be demonstrated. Downsizing is not our policy, and for the past 12 years, we have continued to operate without layoffs. We will continue to manage the company with the same policy in the future.
We aim to achieve Workflow Reform 2.0 with the goal of implementing a three-day workweek as soon as possible.
To that end, we will strive to enable our employees to engage in creative work.

The sales department has diversified its sales activities from relying on touch panels and displays to expanding into other industries, which has mitigated the impact of COVID-19 on our performance and allowed us to generate a small profit.
Our core business at the time of our founding, the mapping and surveying-related business, has evolved into the digital twin business. It has expanded from a focus on Japanese government agencies to include private sector demand in construction and manufacturing, and the potential for global business without borders has begun to significantly expand.
Thanks to your support, we can now see a path to sustainable profitability as we aim for 100 years of continued operation.
We believe that our film business and digital twin business can demonstrate their technology and make significant contributions in the major trends of DX and 5G, which are new global needs.

In the manufacturing department, the replacement of the core parts of our manufacturing machinery, which took several years, is almost complete. This has led to improved quality and stable production, significantly enhancing the technology that has been in place for over 40 years.
At the same time, we have started innovating the development workflow that has been in place for over 40 years.
We aim to dramatically improve our development capabilities and speed up our development processes, restoring KIMOTO to its original status as a technology development-oriented company.

Using the book we published in November 2021, 'Decluttering Leads to Successful Work Style Reform!' as a benchmark, we will contribute as consultants to companies suffering from the side effects of the rapid work style reforms triggered by COVID-19, helping people to work in a more humane manner.

KIMOTO Farm, which was started as a social contribution project, has expanded in scale and was formalized as a profit-generating project with a focus on social contribution in October 2011.
We will continue to enhance our regional contributions centered around Inabe City, Mie Prefecture, aiming for stronger and more sustainable coexistence and mutual prosperity with the local community.

A decarbonized society is not someone else's problem; to maintain a society where our descendants can live as we do today, we will accelerate our efforts to achieve carbon-free operations in all business activities with a greater sense of urgency and responsibility.

Finally, since I took office as president, I am grateful to our employees, staff, and KIMOTO fans for enabling us to push forward with these reforms.
In particular, nothing would have been possible without the growth of our employees.
Even now, many of our employees and staff are growing.

A company is its people.
A company is its people.
A company is made up of its people.

We look forward to your continued support for the growing KIMOTO this year.

Thank you very much.
