To all KIMOTO fans
I extend my warmest greetings to you for 2024.
I would also like to express my deepest sympathies to the victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami, and pray for their safety and a quick recovery of the region.

In 2023, a year often described as "the first in four years," opportunities for face-to-face interaction increased, leading to more direct information exchange with various people at meetings, commemorative events, lectures, and similar occasions.
Both domestic and international business trips surged dramatically, and I personally traveled a distance equivalent to nearly three times around the Earth.
I feel that the discoveries made through casual face-to-face conversations and meeting people directly on-site are difficult to achieve remotely.
I feel that the discoveries made through casual face-to-face conversations and meeting people directly on-site are difficult to achieve remotely.
However, it's not quite the same as the pre-COVID-19 days; I believe that we have adopted a new style of work.
Since the release of 【Windows 95】 in 1995, the world has undergone significant changes over the past 30 years. The digitization of business operations, the dramatic transformation of communication brought about by the internet, and the widespread adoption of IoT driven by the emergence of smartphones. Moreover, the remarkable advancements in AI spearheaded by 【ChatGPT】, which grabbed headlines last year, as well as the ongoing DX (Digital Transformation) initiatives across industries, including robotics.
The dramatic changes that have taken place over the past 30 years will now advance at a pace several times that of the past, and our way of life will change even more profoundly.

So, can we adapt to these dramatic changes?
As individuals, we can live without adapting to everything, but as companies, we must adapt, or else a warning signal will flash for our 100-year continuity.

There have been many dramatic changes in the past few hundred years, and I believe that those companies who have survived have been those who have adapted to the changing times.
We have the resolve to accomplish this, although not in any smooth way, but in our own unpolished way as we relish those dramatic changes.

I will endeavor to keep you apprised of the changes we will face in the future, and I welcome any feedback you may have.
We hope that our dedicated KIMOTO fans will continue to provide us with their kind support in the year ahead.
