Director Interview Tsuneo Negoro
Please tell us about your mission as an outside director.
In society today, the effectiveness of the board of directors is highly valued. The board's roles include making decisions regarding business execution and supervising those who execute these operations. It is the responsibility of outside directors to ensure that both of these functions are being properly carried out. However, I believe it is not necessarily right for someone who has never worked with the team and does not know the people involved to assert what they believe is correct on a single point.
My mission is to study with you and listen to your stories, and to express my own opinions on products, systems, globalization, work style reform, etc., while considering the distance between leaders and staff. I would like to work with you without forgetting the tension and pressure that I am feeling right now.
What is a work philosophy that you hold dear?
``Do your best in human resources and wait for your destiny.''
It means to do everything with all your might so as not to have any regrets, and having been in a service-oriented job throughout my corporate life, I have always made it a fundamental principle to devote sincerity to my work.
I intend to continue being cautious, valuing the importance of researching various things in advance and proceeding while listening to everyone's opinions.
Please tell us about your image of KIMOTO and your expectations.
I feel that it is a wonderful company where the staff clearly define their missions and what they need to do, thanks to management transparency and work style reforms.
Based on stable management, I hope for a company where all employees and their families can feel happiness and contribute to society. Furthermore, I hope to be of some help in achieving the current goals, such as advancing work style reforms, system replacements, and launching a customer center.
What is your current obsession?
Since the beginning of this year, I have been walking my son and his spouse's dog for about an hour and a half on weekday evenings. Seeing the dog sitting by the entrance every day brings me joy.
Also, it may be commonplace, but I enjoy golfing, so it's very enjoyable to see Japanese players competing on the world stage.
