KIMOTO, a manufacturing company with a 70-year history, has been working on "people-centered workflow reform" since 2009, promoting company-wide business transformation such as reducing paper and Excel-based tasks, reforming systems, and automating operations. As a result, all desk workers, including those in indirect departments at the factory, now work fully remotely.
These practical initiatives were recognized, and in 2025, we received the Best Mid-sized Company Prize at the NIKKEI Smart Work Awards 2025. In this presentation, we will share real-life examples of how KIMOTO has driven transformation by fostering both mindset and systems in tandem.
