Announcement for the KIMOTO DX Seminar IN Kyushu 2DAYS

kyusyuDX_seminner.jpg

There's no time to wait for DX! We are hosting the KIMOTO DX Seminar IN Kyushu 2DAYS.

KIMOTO is a manufacturing company with film coating factories both domestically and internationally, and has two strengths: it specializes in creating high-quality, accurate 3D data using image processing and data processing technologies that have been cultivated since its founding. We have been leading the way in workflow reform for 10 years before the outbreak of COVID-19, solving challenges, and accumulating and sharing know-how through various system developments and the creation of ideas.

For the manufacturing industry, we will focus on factory DX aimed at achieving "easier operations" through business efficiency improvements, work style reforms, and the realization of digital twins that we have been practicing. For the construction industry, we will provide key explanations on initiatives to improve productivity at construction and civil engineering sites using 3D data, along with the latest examples. This will be a two-day seminar in Hakata, Kyushu, as a step towards promoting DX. We look forward to your attendance.

10:00-10:10 Greetings and Company Introduction

10:10-10:50 Keynote Lecture ① Factory DX: The First Step to Making the Workplace Easier

Our company has multiple manufacturing bases both in Japan and overseas, and we had endless concerns about visualization and information sharing of people and things in the factories. To make the manufacturing site "easier," we fundamentally reviewed the workflow of our main base, Mie Plant from the ground up and worked on digital transformation. We will introduce our experience of developing and operating the optimal digital transformation system in-house, including paperless, tablet operation, automation, and web utilization, based on examples of success and failure.

10:50-11:30 Keynote Lecture ② Small-Scale DX Start Using 360-Degree Cameras!

We often hear voices saying, 'I don't know where to start with DX!' Regardless of the industry in the manufacturing field, there are concerns about 'equipment and information management.' We will introduce a case of DX that tackled business reform through centralized information management using a low-cost and easy-to-use application based on a 360-degree camera. Why not start DX with a small step?
Lunch break (11:30-13:00)KITTE Hakata You will receive a lunch voucher for

13:00-13:30 Keynote Speech ③ The Future of Manufacturing Shaped by DX and 3D

KIMOTO, as a manufacturing company with its own production plant, is promoting 'Factory DX.' We are visualizing the entire factory using 360° cameras and laser measurements, creating 3D data from the collected and accumulated data, and utilizing it for Digital Twin applications and reproductions. By integrating and consolidating our long-standing experience and know-how in manufacturing with DX and Digital Twin technologies, we are making significant strides. We, KIMOTO, will talk about the scenarios we aim for as a manufacturing company (such as utilizing the web for prototyping and enabling remote operation from anywhere) and the vision of future factories.

13:30-14:00 Technical Lecture: The Technological Strength of KIMOTO Data Center

Our data center has supported and contributed to society by creating 'high-quality, high-value-added data' since its establishment, adapting to the changing times. The know-how in spatial information and image editing, which was the starting point of KIMOTO's founding, extends not only from 2D to 3D. Furthermore, we expand to that extra plus and provide digital data used in a wide variety of fields. We introduce the technical capabilities of the KIMOTO Data Center, a specialized group that transforms data into value.

14:00-14:40 Special Lecture: Work Style Reform Succeeds When You Declutter

For over 70 years since its founding, KIMOTO has been walking the path as a manufacturing company. For more than 10 years nowAiming to be a company that lasts for 100 years, we have created an organization that can flexibly respond to the rapid changes in the world. We have also created an environment where all employees can work smartly and enjoyably. This 'living work style reform' was undertaken with employees at the center, repeatedly experiencing failures and improvements. Here, we will share the real reforms of KIMOTO that can only be discussed in this context.

10:00-10:10 Greetings and Company Introduction

10:10-10:50 Keynote Lecture ① DX Using 360-Degree Video

By capturing the site with a 360-degree camera, you can check the site as if you were actually there. We introduce a case where 360-degree cameras were utilized for information sharing and progress sharing at construction sites, promoting digital transformation (DX).

10:50-11:30 Keynote Lecture ② 3D DX Useful for the Construction Industry

Currently, the 'Digital Twin' is attracting attention in the construction and civil engineering industry. A Digital Twin is the real-time replication and synchronization of real-world events in a virtual space. The real-world site and the virtual space are ConnectionsBy continuingInformation updates and changesof,It is now possible to conduct simulations close to reality, facilitating smooth progress in research and design tasks. We will introduce the cutting-edge technology that maximizes the use of 3D data and digital twins.

11:30-12:00 Theme Lecture 3: AR that illuminates the past and future in reality

Introducing the latest construction-specificARapp that uses AR(augmented reality) technology to express past and future conditions by superimposing real images of the site with 3D data.AR, which can be easily done by simply holding up a smartphone or tablet, can be used as a productivity improvement tool to promote DX.
Lunch break (12:00-13:30) KITTE Hakata Lunch tickets will be provided for

13:30-13:50 Theme Lecture ④ Communication Using the Metaverse

The 'Metaverse (virtual world),' which is also used in business scenes, is gaining attention for enabling communication that is almost as real as reality. We will introduce an overview of the metaverse and its use cases, including a design experience in the metaverse proposed as part of the river CIM standardization plan by the Kyushu Regional Development Bureau, replacing traditional perspectives and models.
