What I felt after three months at the company
This time, we heard from new employee Y, who has been with the company for three months, about their impressions of KIMOTO's working style.
Is it okay to sit anywhere in the office? Where should I work today?
Until my assignment is decided, I am mainly receiving training in various departments at the Saitama headquarters and the Shinjuku MO (main office).
One day, a senior told me, 'Sit wherever you like,' and I was confused. Where should I sit? Since it's super flexible, I felt lost thinking that the time the senior in charge of training would come might not be the same. So, I started checking the next day's training content and the senior in charge, and decided my seat accordingly. I think I am gradually getting the basics of work, such as checking schedules.
By the way... One day, I was surprised when I went to the Shinjuku MO. The layout had been changed for a shareholders' meeting, and the computers and desks were removed, completely transforming the Shinjuku MO. The space is flexible too!
How is working from home? Can you really work?
How is working from home? What about communication? Is it mainly for mothers raising children? I had various questions at first.
The meetings I attended during training were mostly web meetings in every department. Watching the seniors, I didn't feel much of a communication barrier. Remote work is used by both men and women, and there are more people than I expected, from those who work from home every day to those who do it once a week or just half a day.
I was surprised that anyone could easily and comfortably work from home without any inconvenience, depending on the day's tasks. Being able to work flexibly might lead to better performance. I realized that it's not necessary to insist on commuting to the office every day just to get work done.
