KIMOTO Workflow Reform vol.20
Striving to Become a 100-Year-Old Enterprise, We are Advancing Workflow Reform.
From the COVID Crisis to the NEXT Stage
From Before COVID to With COVID, and After COVID. We share KIMOTO’s response and outlook for the future.
In Unprecedented Circumstances
As COVID-19 evolved into a global pandemic, KIMOTO instituted a policy beginning March 23 whereby employees who normally work in the office were required to work from home. Our ability to maintain smooth operations despite the upheaval is a testament to our ongoing workflow reform that enables us to adapt to changing times.
Currently, over 80% of those who can work from home continue to do so. Seeing this as an opportunity, KIMOTO's workflow reform has begun to move to the NEXT stage. As a new form of organization, we decided to close the satellite offices, closing the Nagoya and Osaka satellite offices at the end of August, and the Sapporo and Fukuoka satellite offices at the end of September. We will proceed with ways of working that transcend the boundaries of organizations, not just the place of work.
On to the NEXT Stage
The ability to continue operations on the basis of remote work is built on the invaluable contributions of employees across manufacturing, development, document processing, and more.
Advancing further to enable remote work for all employees and creating a new organizational model unlike any before is our challenge at this new stage.
In the NEXT stage of our workflow reform, we will drive innovation forward and build a new KIMOTO.
