KIMOTO Workflow Reform vol.3
Striving to Become a 100-Year-Old Enterprise, We are Advancing Workflow Reform.
"Abolition of company vehicles" "Experiences from the Great East Japan Earthquake"
In vol.2, we introduced the implementation of free seating and free address.
This time, we will deliver about the initiatives carried out around the same time (2011).
I'm going out for sales! Huh??? There's no car!?
In 2011, we decided to abolish all 120 company cars.
Why abolish company cars (including corporate-owned cars)?... Because changing actions leads to reform.
Pedestal desks, seats, computers... and next, company cars.
Among us who have been promoting workflow reform, especially the sales members,
It is true that there was a lot of confusion because they used company cars as 'mobile offices.'
For travel requiring a car, we used rental cars or car sharing.
Sales members also commented that the risk of driving a car decreased.
Before we knew it, the costs, including vehicle maintenance and gasoline, had been reduced by about two-thirds.
Experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake
KIMOTOOne event we experienced while conveying workflow reform.
2011Year3This is the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred in March.
At that time, the Kimoto Sendai branch was also affected by the earthquake.
but Around this time, we were attempting to share order processing tasks between branches.
Other branches backed up and performed tasks for the Sendai branch, which was unable to operate.
This experience accelerated the pace of work style reform.
next time,vol.4We will convey 'From Branch to Satellite Office.'
