Towards a new way of working”

With the introduction of virtualization systems, our work style has been changing rapidly.

This time, I will tell you about what we did in the latter half of 2013 to create an environment where we can work anytime, anywhere, in the same way.

Mountains of document boxes!? Before digitization progressed, we were overwhelmed with paperwork.

Can I apply if I am not at the company? !

Until we had the current 'electronic approval system', it was normal for us to return to the office. However, that would mean the workflow reforms we've introduced so far would be meaningless.

Switching from paper approval requests to electronic approval has enabled us to check and approve from smartphones or tablets even when out of the office. Not only has this sped up the process from application to approval, but it has also allowed us to check progress, approval routes, search application documents, and view past histories on the system, things that were done manually before.

The digitization of the workflow has not only reduced costs such as unnecessary printing and storage space but also the invisible, significant cost of 'time'.

What is BYOD?

In October 2013, we introduced BYOD. BYOD stands for 'Bring Your Own Device', which means using personal devices (such as computers, tablets, smartphones) for work at the office or home.

The background for introducing BYOD includes the 'virtualization system' introduced in 2012. Since it's a system that works by accessing applications and data on the cloud via the network, no information remains on the device, allowing work to be done on personal devices while ensuring information security. This has brought us much closer to our goal of creating an environment where we can work anytime, anywhere, in the same way.
